Aquagroove is a half-day cultural wellness event that travels. Every session brings together swim, African and Caribbean dance, and a communal mixer — creating a space where our culture, our bodies, and our joy are the whole point.
We've built something that feels like home the moment you walk in. No mainstream gym energy. No explaining yourself. Just movement, music, food, and the people who get it.
Starting in Newcastle as Chapter One, Aquagroove is designed to grow city by city — run by local hosts who know their community and are trained in the Aquagroove format.

Every Aquagroove session follows the same proven format — adapted to each city, rooted in the same cultural DNA. Whether you join in Newcastle or Birmingham, the feeling is the same.
Community swim sessions with music, warmth, and a facilitator in the water. Open to all levels — from confident swimmers to those still building confidence. The pool is ours.
Afrobeats, Dancehall, Soca, West African styles. A live DJ, an open floor, taught patterns. No experience needed — just a willingness to move and connect with the rhythm in the room.
Food, music, real conversations. Each mixer is themed — a country, a season, a celebration. This is where strangers become community, and where the Aquagroove story grows.
Aquagroove starts in one city, proves the format, then moves. Every city we touch becomes a permanent chapter — run by a local host, powered by the Aquagroove playbook.
The Aquagroove founder runs the first event personally — building the local community, testing the format, and finding the right local host.
A local community leader is trained and licensed to run Aquagroove independently — with full brand support, marketing assets, and the complete operational manual.
Your city gets its own recurring Aquagroove experience. The host runs it. The community grows. And we move to the next city.

Aquagroove started from a simple observation: wellness spaces in the UK weren't built for our communities. The pools, the studios, the gyms — they existed, but they didn't feel like ours.
So we built something that does. Not a gym class. Not a hobby group. A full cultural wellness experience — swim, dance, community — where African and Caribbean heritage isn't the footnote. It's the whole point.
